Day 3: Potala - DaZhaoShi

布达拉宫—大昭寺

It was such a great day, waking up without feeling headache. I brushed my teeth happily singing a silly song. Feeling healthy is really the best feeling one can have. The only thing I can complain is, I did not get to take bath for more than 48 hours.

1st stop, 大昭寺 (I searched through google, still can't fine what's it called in English). A temple, where in 藏语 means 释迦牟尼， meaning, 释迦牟尼的佛堂. History of this temple is about 1350 years, the oldest temple in Lhasa. Amazing. Many people 朝拜 when we visited the temple.

Of course, there are "shopping streets" outside the temple. Too many small stalls, we don't know what to buy, only bought small souvenoir. Tour guide told us don't buy the too old looking stuff, coz you never know who it belongs to earlier. In Tibet, it is their culture after the person is dead, they will "hire" the 祭师 to do the "process" - like cleaning the body, then chopped the body into 365 pieces, either throw into the sea to let fish eat or burnt some scent to induce the eagle to come eat the dead body pieces. If the fish or eagle do not finish eating the body, that means this person was a bad guy before. If the fish or eagle finished everything, then this person was a good person before. Anyway... 祭师 sometimes take the dead person's jewerly to sell to these stalls in the temple, so, if the stuff is old-looking and very unique, probably is taken from dead person's body. eeee.....

These "taxi", starting fees is RMB 3. Cute.

After lunch, finally, we were going into the Potala!! (actually, these few days, already passed by it outside for more than 6-8 times. Potala is just located in the heart of Lhasa city.)

It was quite a "task" to climbed up to the top of Potala (height of the peak is 3750 meters above sea level). Under the circumstances of lacking in oxygen, every step is a challenge. For every turn of the stairs, we need to stop for a while to catch more air. And, take more pictures. When we reached the top, we were so happy (actually, it was not that high, compared to The Great Wall in Beijing, but it feels more difficult to climb than The Great Wall).

Can only take pictures outside of the Potala, inside of the Potala, are all 灵塔, photos are not allowed. Talk also have to soft-soft. If you stand in one place too long, the guard inside will shout at you, "faster go, don't stay so long". Very fierce one... perhaps they scared got people want to steal all the germs on the 灵塔. Those germs, all big big, and looks very expensive. Made me drool also..

Potala is divided into 红宫 & 白宫. The colors of the wall, are all splashed at, not brushed one. Interesting. Oh, by the way, the Potala was built as a gift from 松赞干布藏主 to 文成公主.

The "towel" look-like thing, is actually 经幡. You can see this everywhere in Lhasa, and the whole of Tibet actually.

Tour guide told us, after another 1.5 month, no one will be able to go into Potala anymore. Government wants to preserve Potala, don't want 凡人 to pollute it. We are considered very lucky this time. Wow...

经幡

在藏区，道路两侧，古树上，屋顶处，江桥旁，到处是五彩的经幡，在蓝天下迎风招展。在家家户户的房屋上、帐篷上迎风飘扬

经幡大部分采用绸布做成，颜色有蓝、白、红、黄、绿色等，多为素色，大小不等。经幡幡条具有特定的含义，其组合排列顺序都有严格的规定。经幡上面印着密密麻麻的经文和鸟兽图案，各图案也有一定的象征意义。经幡是藏民祈求福运升腾的象征物，每年藏民们都要挑选良辰吉日，举行庆典活动，更新经幡。之所以插上经幡，是因为当地的信徒们大多没有文化，念不了经文，只为借助自然的力量，风每吹动经幡一次，就意味着他们念了一次经，以此来表达他们对上天的虔诚和敬意

Day 2: Lhasa - Namtso - Yampajen - Lhasa

拉萨—纳木措—羊八井—拉萨

Tour guide told us there some changes in schedule, coz the tickets to Potala (布达拉宫）is very tight, and he got us the next day's ticket instead of today. According to him, in holiday, there are about 5000 people wants to go to the Potala, but only 2000 tickets per day were issued. We were considered lucky to even have a ticket for tomorrow. (luckily he got us the ticket, if not, come all the way to Lhasa but not to Potala, WTF??)

So today, we going for an adventurous trip to Namtso (in Tibet, anything ends with -tso, means it's a lake). We happily sat onto the bus, not knowing the trip was 500+km back & forth, with 200 km road with bad condition. And also, not knowing we have to cross over a 5150 meters mountain. The ordeal was waiting silently in front of us. (all we know at that time was, Namtso is an extremely beautiful salt water lake!)

Along the road, we saw some 朝圣者，3步一叩首 (3 steps 1 kao-tao). Tour Guide told us they came from their village. Normally after something bad happened to the village, or someone in their family fall sick, they will send the young fella to come to Lhasa's 大昭寺 for prayer. And this trip, whole trip is 3-steps-1-kaotao, could take about 1.5 years!! We were so stunned. We cannot believe this. They are so devoted. Under the hot sun, this is definitely not easy and unachievable without strong belief in their religion. We took some pictures with them, and each of us gave them some money, wish them good luck. Their determination, is most chinese lack of. We should all learn from them!

After few hours ordeal bus ride, we reached the 5010 meters mountain (纳根山口）, where you can see the 念青唐古拉山 from far. I was very dizzy that time already. Felt like vomiting, but I kept telling myself I can do it. After taking a few photos at that spot, I quickly get onto the bus (actually... the pace is slow. At 5010 meters, you cannot have BIG action, you will faint).

Suddenly, tour guide came onto the bus panicly, "Oxygen tank! Oxygen tank!". He zoomed into the last row, grab the emergency used oxygen tank, and ran down to the bus. "Someone fainted..." That time, bui bui and Eric was still downstairs. It never crossed my mind the fainted person is our fren Eric! Apparently, his hat was almost blew off by a sudden strong wind. He was running to catch the hat, and due to lack of oxygen, you should not run, and thus, he fainted. But luckily after some oxygen supply, he woke up, and managed to get on to the bus. In that cold weather, I saw there was sweat coming from the tour guide's forehead. I know Eric just past by death valley that close. It was a very dangerous moment.

After that, tour guide jokingly tell Eric, "don't ever chase your hat next time. your life worth more than that;)"

We were too panic, did not manage to snap a picture of fainted Eric. hahaha...

Another 2 hours ordeal bus ride, we finally reached Namtso! It was very beautiful!! It is the second highest salt water lake in the world. The water is from the melted snow from 念青唐古拉山. Water is light blue, and sky is clear, and got snow-mountain, with lazy 牦牛 resting at the beach.

It was a beautiful lake - Namtso. But, I don't have mood to snap more pictures. My head was spinning. And, I cannot hold my vomit-mindset. I vomited. Luckily not to the lake (to them, that lake is very holly, and you cannot wash your hand at the lake, don't even mention puke inside the lake!). I vomited on the road. The feeling was horrible. Again, I quickly get onto the bus to rest. Scolding myself "you useless brat! such a beautiful lake, and you just have to choose this moment to vomit, idiot!".

So, same day, Eric fainted, I vomited. On the ride back to Lhasa, we stopped at the 羊八井温泉, but none of us got mood to play liao (Except bui bui and cecilia, they were tip-top healthy).

Actually, the whole group, also got a lot of people unwell that day. No one expects the ride was so ordeal - bad road condition, high mountain, lack of oxygen, hot hot sun exposure.. Tour Guide sent doctor to some of our hotel room (of course, I raised my hand high high when he asked for room number) to give us 点滴. The whole 点滴 process takes like 2 hours, so bored. But it is really working well for us. After that, I can sleep really well. And the rest of the trip, I don't have serious headache anymore. Hooray!!! The Chinese way of treating sickness is sometimes very marvellous!

The doctor, while taking the needle away from me, was having a cigarette at the same time (totally destroy the earlier good image), and it costs 180 per person. Wow...

This marks the end of our Day 2 trip. Unforgettable experience!

By the time the 点滴 was completed, it was 12am. Again, cannot take bath. Yucks. It has reached beyond my limit, 2 days without bath, that is so disgusting!

Day 1: Chengdu-Lhasa

Under our plane, is all these kind of mountain, without any trees...

Lhasa's airport is called Gongga Airport (拉萨贡嘎机场）, interesting name eh?:)

Local tour guide there gave us an 哈达 (ha3 da2) each (the white scarf), it represents 吉祥如意，欢迎，and all the good meanings.

Can you see all the 哈达 around it? and those "flags" type thingy, is actually the 藏经文，when the wind blows, it just like all the 经文 were read once.

虔诚的藏族信徒在绕着布达拉宫转经筒（顺时钟）。天天如此。他们不为今生而活，只为来世求福。One life time also bath 3 times only - 1st -- when they were born; 2nd -- when they get married; 3rd -- when they were dead.

This little fox I saw it in the souvenoir shop. It is so warm... but I find that they really cruel loh, such a beautiful white fox, they killed it and made into a "real" scarf. It's fur is so nice to touch. Selling at RMB 2,800 (not very pricey, considered it is real.... better than those LV price neh). I did not buy lah, even though I like it very much. I kesian the fox only.

By the time around 8pm, we were all feeling dizzy, slight headache (the real serious headache only hit us at late night, around 11pm). Oxygen level at day time is only 60% of our normal sea level, at night, it is even lower. The feeling of lack of oxygen is really no fun. You can't even walk fast as you will be gasping for air, and once you started laughing at your fren's jokes, you very cialat, coz, after the bloody joke, you will be gasping for oxygen.

We went back to hotel around 8.30pm, go to bed without shower (it is advised first day reach Lhasa, better don't take shower, coz you might catch the flu if you did). Can't sleep well whole night, headache headache headache. But we were very excited about next day's trip - 布达拉宫.

I am back from Tibet trip! It is an adventurous trip, full of "first time" in life thingy, and it's a great once-in-a-lifetime experience!

I am having an affair

I am having an affair.

RELAX!! This kind of "affair" is not the one you thinking OK?

It's about my facial.

You see, ever since I moved to this piece of land, I joined this facial center, let's called it Facial A.

Whenever I go to have facial at Facial A, I always ended up spending PREPAID money for some packages even before I finished one package (like, 5000 yuan for 20 sessions; 3500 yuan for a summer whitening 5 sessions; 6800 yuan for some face-lifting 10 sessions (they insisted I need a face lift, but now I think back, I am so stupid I actually go for one. I am still young what!)). And, they always poked my face until red red, and I have more pimples after the facial session, until one day bui bui asked me, "why do you still go to that center? obviously your face is worse than last time u know..".

So, I curi-curi tried on another facial center - called it Facial B.

Facial B is just downstairs of my office. So, when my boss and my big boss are not in, and if I am free that afternoon, I disappeared for 2 hours go do facial. (I only did it once lah ok... am not that irresponsible one). And, Facial B does not poke my face until red red, and, location is good (same building of my office, what can I ask more?), ambiance is fabulous too (Facial A also not bad actually) and most importantly they don't sweet talk me buy this package or that package (maybe I am still new). So, I also joined the member of Facial B, and been there 2 times.

Yesterday, I went to Facial A (you think i want meh? I still have 20 sessions left unused, I gotta finished them). The lady asked me, "you so long time never come, where did you go? We miss you so much!". I answered, "I am so busy lately! Always on business trip. I miss you too~" (I lied).

Then she saw my eye-brow not messy, and my face quite clean, she suspected, she asked me, "so, all these while, did you go to other center to have facial?" I lied again, I said, "I do mask twice a week loh, what to do, busy mah."

At that point, I felt like I was having an affair, and trying so hard to cover with my lies. Hehehehe... that feeling, is so chi-gek.

So, from now on, I have to have some affair with Facial B, while trying to keep myself looking loyal to Facial A, except I ain't not spending more money to buy more packages from Facial A.

Facial A, I am going to divorce you after I finished all my left over sessions with you. You heard me?!

A cosmopolitan story

You know, when we go overseas, we always like to tumpang friend's house, coz, accomodation cost in hotel (at least, our star level one), in every part in the world, is a cost we don't like to incure unnecessarily.

Below is a story, in a cosmopolitan city, say, like Shanghai, where a 4 star hotel easily costs 700 yuan and above. Peak season like Golden Weeks (May, Oct, CNY) is about 1K or more, 4 star hotel in a city ok?

Elizebeth and John, come to Shanghai to work, rented a 2 bedroom apartment in the city 2 years ago. Though the apartment is not theirs, but since going to work here for 3-4 years, might as well treat it as a home.

One fine day, John's cousin sent John and email, "I have business trip next week. After that, plan to extend few days, can stay at your place ah?". John is a good hubby, before asnwering that, he asked his wife Elizebeth, "babe, is it alright with you?". Elizabeth is very friendly person, you don't see her always have vulgar language in her blog or email, she is a damn sweet girls in real life, and also very bloody friendly. She replied, "of course babe, don't worry, I like receiving guests, especially is your relative."

So, John & Elizabeth asked the cousin -- Tim for dinner the Friday night, after that, Tim can go home with them with his luggage after checked out from hotel, since his business trip has alreayad ended.

Tim called John again on Thursday around 4pm, said he would like to come "look-see-look-see" their apartment before moving the next day. He will be at their place at 9pm. John and Elizebeth both feeling very puzzled, "what's the need for look-see-look-see neh? just come next day with the luggage lah, aiyoh-eh". But nevertheless, they said OK.

At 8.00pm on Thursday, Elizebeth still cooking. Phone rang. John picked up. Apparently, Tim is already somewhere near, will be at their palce in half an hour time. So, Elizebeth quickly cook, and they had dinner fast fast. Almost chocked.

"Ding-Dong". John opened the door. John And Elizebeth tried very hard to keep their jaw from dropping. Tim is not alone. THere is another girl. Big size. So it made her look like his big sister. But, Tim introduced her as his gf.

John and Elizebeth very surprised. Coz Tim never mentioned he is coming with his gf to stay with them!! Elizebeth, especially, feeling that Tim does not respect her as the master of the house -- 1) look see look see the house 1 day prior of moving in -- you think you really renting the place is it?? 2) bringing another guest to surprise her. She was not prepared to share the bathroom with 2 strangers.

So questions to my readers:
1) when you going to stay with your frens, if you plan to bring another guest, would you tell you friend first before hand so your friend is prepared? Or you think it is alright, no need to tell, just jom?
2) when you going to stay with your frens, do you go to their house to "look-see-look-see", with eyes glancing up and down of the house ceiling and floor, one day before you move in? Is it necessary?

Snoopy

Lately, the "Initial D" (animation one, not the Jay Chow) series was over. Not me lah, my hubby was hooked on watching this everyday at night.

It is SNOOPY!!!!!!!!

I was so happy. Persons who know me when I was younger, know I am a Snoopy fans. Not the die hard one lah, just a normal fans. No no no.. I don't scream for him.. I just like to possess items that has Snoopy face. It is such a lovely Dog, don't you think so? So intelligent. He has not done any single stupid thing. And, he is so lucky, to have Woodstock as his best friend:)

So, now I am hooked. kekekeke... but I hate the voice-over they did. Toooo fake. I don't like. Some more very noisy. I prefer it be English. But u know lah... this land... (don't make me start..).

after watching a few days, my urge of having a dog as pet re-appear again!! (i have this urge last year... then hubby made me promised I will bathe the dog and walk him to pooh pooh every night, i chicken out)

Should I have a dog?? I not prepared to bathe him everyday and walk him to pooh pooh every evening wor. HOW AH??!!! I just like to play with him....

Dilemma

But, I don't mind buying cheap, good quality pirated DVD wor, looking at the sky-rocket movie tickets here at cinema. Normal cinema ticket is 120 yuan, if special seats, 240 yuan, all these prices are per person. Compare to cheap, good quality pirated DVD which is only 5 yuan, not surprised there is still so much Demand to encourage the big Supply right?

Having said that, last few days, read newspaper, one of the great movie director in China was complaining to the media, his pay from this industry, is worse than 3 star movie-star. So sad. He is considered 5 star director ok... I pity him also.

So, 5 yuan good quality pirated DVD, buy or not buy??

Patriotic weeeeeyyy

While many people around the world are feeling sad about the lost souls and trying to figure out why is this guy so pathetic, so depressed, and so angry about people around him, many chinese people on this land are feeling relief, "phew, luckily this is not done by chinese. If not, shame on our country."

Weird Dream

I had a dream last night.

I was pregnant!!!

It was so funny. Er... I mean the whole "episode"...

First, both bui bui and I were very shocked. Coz, the 'timing' is a bit off... (if u know what I mean). Then, the shocking feeling turns to excitement. A piggie baby!!! Then, the feeling turned to worry, coz lately I ate a lot of medicines, I really mean a lot. Because of the persistent coughing, the coughing mixture I had tried 3 types, then panadol solubles, then 川贝粉, then flu-tea (yes, there is such tea), then the medicine we took pre-tibet trip, called 红景天, to build up our body to with-stand lack of oxygen over in tibet. Woo.... how can a baby stand so many medicines?

Before I can get really worried, I woke up. hehehhee...

Anyway, we are not rushing for a baby, at least not this year. Still want to enjoy some 2-persons valuable time together:)

My new love

Because of the Tibet trip, I noticed I have a new need -- a comfy sport shoes that I can wear and walk without any painful feeling on my feet for the whole trip.

Grab my girl friends to go with me last night, at first, girl friend recommended Sketches. Spent like 2o minutes over there, trying different ones, when I finally picked the one I like, the sales ladies told us there is no more the sizes that fit me.

So, wanted to look for Converse All Star, before reaching that outlet, saw Adidas.

I was a fans of Nike, if given choices, I will never pick Adidas. But that building, simi brand pun ada, but just don't have Nike. Never realized Nike and Adidas also like KFC and McD? Cannot co-exist within certain compound one meh?

Then, the first pair I tried in Adidas, I fell in love!! Firstly is the color - Orange!! hahaha.. my favorite. Then, is the design, I like the feeling of round round one. Lastly, so comfy!!! wooo... So, I bought it -- the first pair of branded sport shoes I have owned in my life. (I never like sport shoes before, so, I only buy cheap cheap or no brand one earlier. Can't believe I actually did this last night)

So, who said branded shoes is only good at appearance? They are comfy too!!!:)

Banking = Nightmare

And we all thought Maybank is the worst... didn't we? Well, wait til you come here, you will understand what is the new meaning of "waiting to be served in bank". LoNG Q!!!! Sitting bench is seldom unoccupied because always got people waiting. ATM Machine line also very long, because some of the rich-bitch loves to carry WHOLE few STACKS of MONEY to use the ATM to deposit.

Just now, because big boss all not around, I went to do some banking. And I thought, avoiding evening time (after working hour), and avoiding lunch hour, I should be able to save some time. But hell I was really stupid to think like that.

I lined up at ATM because want to pay my credit card bill. There is only 2 ATM working for deposit money. Only two!! Considering the HUGE Population in Shanghai, only 2 ATM in any bank (most banks) that is working for depositing money. And we always complaint about Maybank, 2 machine, but most of the time, only 1 is working. The ratio, if you do some simple math, is still heathier compared to Shanghai, if you take into consideration of the whole population of klang valley vs shanghai... Sigh.

OK OK, where was I... 2 ATM, side by side. But because they made it into a L shape lining line, some idiot, really don't know the meaning of lining up, when the inside ATM (1 is inside of L shape, the other is facing the entrance door) has empty slot, and if they next person lining is not fast, he will gam gam sei squeeze in the line and stand there nicely. No one says a word, not anyone was having an angry face on their face. Boy... they really do not know the meaning of lining up.

Anyway, there is this ah-pek. I think his eye-sight must be bad. His head almost bang the screen when he was keying in his password. He deposited 10K, and when the machine stop accepting his money, he screamed, "SECURITY, PLEASE COME HERE" (in mandarin of course). The security came, told him each transaction maximum is 10K. Then, this ah pek, went to another ATM machine to withdraw more money, anotehr 10K! He come back, expecting he can come back anytime of the place he last left, did not have any single sense of wanting to line-up again. And, his second 10K takes forever to be deposited into that machine because apparently few notes were not accepted by the machine, but he kept trying for more than 5 times!!!! until, one guy, speaks loudly in shanghainese to him, tell him "if cannot, try switching the notes. no point to keep trying!". That ah pek... I swear, at that moment, I feel like slapping him.

Banking in China, some thing that needs severe improvement. I wish, by opening the entrance to foreign banks, they will feel the heats of competition and have better service. For heaven sakes, please install more cash-depositing ATM machine!

My transaction, only need to take 3 minutes. But, I lined up for 40 minutes. Can someone just hug me and tell me it is OK to waste 37 minutes of my life witnessing some ah-pek banging his head onto the ATM screen while keying his password.

a boh-song story

Recently, one of my girl friend felt really boh-song about her relatives taking advantage on them, come to Shanghai play play, go here go there, but never offer to pay back a single sent to my fren's hubby (all trips were booked & paid by her hubby). So thick face.

Then it triggers one of my "dead-memory-cell" -- Bui Bui also got taken advantage by his rich relative!

That relative, stay in a BIG bangalo in T*opi****. We had been to his bangalo before earlier this year. Inside the bangalo, everything is designed and ordered from outside of Malaysia. And, everything is perfectly matched, colors, materials, even the flowers in the living room, is bought from overseas.

This relative, believe it or not, stay in such a rich house, come borrow bui's money. The amount, to poor people is a lot. But to rich people, perhaps is just a few days lobster meal in 5 star hotel.

It has been 5 months liao. He did not even call & offer to pay back the money. Ghost image pun tak ada. And before, he still sometimes call bui bui out for makan (he in SH too occasionally). Most of the time, bui bui pay for the meal coz he thinks he is a zhang-bei, and it is fine to treat him well.

Now I think think, I quite angry... I mean, if he stays in just 20 square meter wooden house, I won't even want bui bui to go ask him to pay us back the money. But, he lives in a MANSION!!! All the furniture were all above don't know how many thousands dollars, and why would he want to owe us the money?

The more I think, the more I think he will not pay us back. @#$%!

His wife actually don't know he borrowed money from us. So, when I saw her face that time, the sombong face (those nose facing the ceiling one leh..), I felt I wanted to tell her the truth. Sigh.. why got this kind of person one..

So, as cantonese said, the money is colder than cold water now. Not returning liao :

To all the rich people out there: some small money you think you borrowed is very small amount, but to average people like me, that money, can buy many many branded cosmetics, and I can eat many lobsters meals in the 5-star hotel ok~~~~~ Shame on you!

(sometimes I wonder what did he do with the money he borrowed from bui in that big mansion... used as tissue??)

往死里咳！

最近的天气，忽冷忽热。我一年不生病的纪录，被迫打破。咳嗽——往死里咳的那种，你有试过吗？咳到心脏都要跳出来的那种，很令人讨厌的。

我在想，我现在还算年轻，咳成这样，还可以。等我60-70岁，也咳成这样，还不死？？很怕有这样的一天。什么死法比咳死还难受？

Bui Bui 看我咳得这样难受，他难过的眼神，令我更难过，也同时令我很欣慰，真挚的爱，真的很难得。昨天，他又在夜里离开温暖的被窝，到客厅为我倒了一杯温水，还帮我搽vicks, 不过搞笑的是，那一罐vicks,一定是他读书时带去美国，又从美国带回来马来西亚，再从马来西亚带来上海，已经过期10年了。expired in 1996 May，can you believe it?我咳得半死，没来得及嘲笑他，等我痊愈后，我会再把这件事拿出来说笑：）

同事介绍说川贝粉混在梨里面拿去炖，会好的。那个粉，苦得来没话好说。吃了，好像我对这粉又敏感，咳得更加厉害。bui bui 心疼得说，不准我再吃。

看来，这个咳嗽，like it or not, 需要一个过程来康复。希望在西藏之旅之前可以好，如果不是，得到医院吊水，I don't like...

Hannibal

Watched Hannibal Rising with hubby on Saturday night, the whole movie time I was coughing til my lung also want to come out, but still, I managed finished watching it in one piece.

It is a fantastics movie.

Although they never really show the scene they ate his sister, the bath-tub and the teddy bear and Misa's chubby face kept running in my mind after the show ended. It was the geli feeling that haunt me, the fact they ate the chubby kids... yucks...

When Habbibal killed the criminals one by one, I actually did not feel geli at all. Because, they all dai-sei. How can they eat the kids???

But one thing I cannot understand... I don't understand why they said Hannibal subconsciously ate his sister also. yucks..

The hardest thing to forget about this movie, is they grab the kid out of the house, and her bath-tub so they can cook her inside I supposed, stays vividly in my mind. I just feel Hannibal later turned to so cold-blood is understandable. If I witness people eat my sister, I will go insane too. YUCKS. So, I totally can accept the fact that Hannibal eat some of the criminal's parts as he killed them one by one cruely.

Gong Li acts in this movie is much much better than the 黄金甲, she is good.

And, while I was on MC last Friday thanks to the Nasty Cough that I infected from dunno which "tam" on the road, I managed to finished the "L word" too. I pitied les partners seem so unstable. They seemed to change partner much faster than straight people, I don't understand why. I have a best friend, he is not straight. His partners changed quite frequently, he also cannot give me an explanation why is it like that. He said, "you think I don't want a stable partner like you all do? I guess I just very unlucky, still can't find one yet." Sigh.. I do hope he can "settle down" soon, with 1 partner, forever.

there are some people, based on some of their outlook behavior, you dislike them very much already even before you get to know them.

I hated Miss Zoo, if some of you remembered my entry earlier.

Lately I went out have lunch with her (togehter with other people lah, you think I les is it?). I actually find out that she is very interesting. And above all, she is smart (you know how I hate stupid person). The time we spent in Marketing Training session last month (we were in same group) let me get a chance to know that Bimbo can actually be Intelligent as well. But of course, her excel skill still far below mine. She does not know how to fix a cell other than typing in the "$" manually. Hahaha... I chose not to tell her. But, she does have good logic sense.

So, my strategy is working. Try to give the person I hate some benefit of doubts - eating lunch with them gives me chance to find out more about them.

Last time I hate Miss Zoo.

Now, I think I just slightly dislike her only. Good improvement eh?;)

6 weird things about myself?

I am being tagged by Angela to write about 6 weird things about myself.

I spent a day yesterday thinking if I have weird things or not (i always thought I am just a normal little girl, haha).. perhaps don't have 6 (6 is a lot neh), but I do have a few.

Let's start:
1) I like the feeling of 取之不尽, so, I hate items that will deplete over time, e.g. shampoo, body conditioner, and even to fruits and table-clothe. I wish they never depleted.

a) Shampoo, Bodywash, Body Conditioner, washing detergent, toilet paper etc - I always have at least an extra one in the cupboard of any of the items mentioned here. If I finished one and started to use the extra one, I have to go get it from Carrefour again the next day. My hubby said I siao siao one. Coz the new one can at least last me for another 6 weeks, why I so gun-cheong?

b) I have a basket at home, just to put my fruits. I like to see the basket has at least 3 apples. If it depleted below that level, I become very uneasy. Mind keep popping up going to Carrefour, or to the 水果佬 to get more fruits. As a result of this, I always buy more fruits than I can consume, and some of them got rotten even before I eat them. Which I hate the feeling very much too. I hate to throw away fruits.

c) I have at least 3 big packs of (each has 30 sticks) Nescafe 3-in-1, red color (normal) one as back up, all brought from Malaysia (yes, they also travelled by plane. haha). I have the fear of finishing them and don't have back up and I can't imagine what will happen that time. It will be horrible loh, coz I don't like other brand, and I can't find such thing in this piece of land here.

d) I have at least 12 pairs of contact lense (monthly disposable) in my house. Again, can't find this particular brand in this piece of land. I very worried that if I don't go back to KL within one year, I will never get the new supply, and by the time I finished that 12 pairs, I have to wear the ugly glasses. Yucks!

e) I have at least 10 new table clothe (those that you used to mop the dining table, or in the kitchen to mop away the water just to leave the area dry). I like the feeling I have many clean table clothe to replace the old one, even though I seldom replace the old one (coz it still very clean after I washed it neh).

f) I have 4 different pairs of toilet carpets (those you put in toilet to keep the footprint dry after you took shower, and also to keep you warm from stepping directly onto the icy ground in winter). I love to buy toilet carpets. It gaves me undescridable satisfaction. And I hate to see got hair falling onto the carpets. So, when I bangsai in the morning, I normally (nothing much else to do right?) will stare at the carpet, and observe where got hair, and after bangsai, I will pick it up and throw into the dustbin.

So tired just to write 6 subpoints of 1 big weird habit. muahahhaa.... Angela, does that count as 6 weird things?:p

How loyal can a man be?

I have a friend. Dumped by his ex after his ex come to SH to work and then later married to a local here who is her GM. Anyway... cut the grandma story short, he was dumped, and was very sad and depressed for the past 3 years.

Lately, he also came to SH to work. Before he came to work permanently here, 3 of us (me, bui bui, and his another fren) once jokingly told him, "if you ever get a shanghainese gf over here, we will look down on you, and pui pui you!"

Last night, he sms-ed me. Asking me, "will you really look down on me if I fallen love with a local here??"

I was like :

I calmed myself, restructure an OK sms to him, "fren, it's your future. Just make sure she does not spit, does not cut Q, and does bath daily. If not, i might accidentally slap her gou li gou li."

Anyway, my point of writing this is, it really makes me wonder, how loyal can a once loyal man be?

of course, 3 years is long enough for him to start to forget about his ex. But.. came here for 3 months, and already find himself fallen in love with a local here? Why some people can fall in love so easily in this land one? And last year Nov, he still can't forget about his ex. When we mentioned about her in Nov, he still emotional unstable that time.

So, how loyal can a man be? Sigh... guess not very loyal?

Sometimes I think, if I ever got any dong gua tou fu, and left bui bui alone in this earth, will he forget about me in 3 months, and fall in love with another woman? This thought is very depressing. I have to get an answer from him tonight. :

黄梨

这里的人，叫之为凤梨。

我家附近的水果佬，最近又出现了。问他到哪儿去了（大概6个星期没看到他了），他说他过年回了老家，待了蛮长时间，现在又回来了。

他最近老是卖凤梨。Oh,我发现到他卖给我的水果是比别人便宜的。有一次，他卖给我7块，卖给下一个女人，还要小的凤梨，他卖她9块，而且还一副“要买就买，不买就算”的样子。呵呵。Special Treatment的感觉，还是很不错的。；）

前几天，我其实饱得要死。但是经过他摊子的时候，已经10点了。看他正对着一个他已切好的凤梨在发愁，我就买下了（其实，我很不喜欢那一些已经切好的水果，总觉得脏脏的）。回家放进冰箱，第二天洗得半死才吃。

因为我最近老是问他，“为什么不卖苹果？我爱吃苹果。梨也可以的。”他那一天就对我说，“我下周会进一些苹果的”。呵呵。他记得我喜欢吃苹果哦。Another special treatment.

我也很喜欢他不贪心的好moral。有时候，比如他卖我6块，他看我东摸西摸在找一块（手里已拿着5块），他会跟我说，“没有一块就算了。”但是，我总觉得他们make a living实在不容易，所以我怎么样也会给足钱他的。

很高兴见到他。不知道为什么。看到他一幅开心的样子，自己也很开心。

Haagen Dazs - 2nd encounter

OK, supposed to blog about how good was the ice-cream, and how good is the company (both were great in fact!:))
But I want to also blog about the lousy customer service attitude they have had, despite the fact that Haagen Dazs is an international company, charges way premium on the small scoop of ice-cream.

This is in fact the second time I experienced lousy service from them (the first one I also did blog about it last year in April). Both are different outlet.

Actually, everything went fine from the start. Until we called for the bill.

1st thing that pissed me off (a little bit), was the waiter asked me to fill in a survey form. I only answered first question, which was about "how satisfied do you feel in this visit?". Since it was really nice at the start, I clicked the box "很满意” (very satisfied). Before I can continue the rest (I can't even remember how many questions are there", he said, "ok, that's good enough", and took back the pen and the survey form. I was stunned for few seconds. I had the thought of going to him and asked him to return the form for me to change the answer. This is so horrible.

Next, they brought a small gift (tea beg) inside a nicely wrapped box. My another gf and I like it very much. So we just thought of trying to ask them if it is fine to give us another one? Actually, I knew the answer is no, but I just want to test their professionalism. And, I am right, there is NO professionalism at all. The waiter answered with a mocking expression in his face "no, no extra", he is like saying, "what? you want anotehr one? nei jao xiong (you wished)." There is simply no professionalism in his tone.

So, I have to make a conclusion. Haagen Dazs CEO, if you are reading this, please... with the premium price you are charging, can you have your staff trained properly, to be more professional and have good attitude? They simply just sucks now.

What a shame. Best ice-cream, but served with bad customer service.

Tuesday, 5.30pm, bui bui sent me an email, ask me (I am his personal secretary, free one..) to book a cab for him to his meeting place for Thursday morning.

So I booked. 6pm, emailed him, "bui, booked liao. Cab will come pick you up from house between 9.15-9.25am. Booked under my name. They will call house when reached downstairs first."

Bui replied, "ok. thanks!"

At the same night (Tuesday), I reminded him at home, "bui, Thurs, 9.15-9.25am, the cab will pick you up yah." Bui replied, "ok."

Wednesday, 10.30pm, I reminded him again. "Bui, tomorrow, you wait for the cab call in between 9.15-9.25am yah." Bui replied, "no problem~"

This morning (Thursday), before I left the house to work, my one foot stepping inside the house, the other stepped outside the house, still reminding him one more time, "hon, the cab will reach around 9.15-9.25am yah... bye~" He said, "Oh.."

And I thought after so many reminders, he should remember the cab arrival time.

I reached office this morning, realized got 2 missed calls, and 2 messages. 2 missed calls were from bui bui, and 2 messages, goes like this:

1st sms: "eh the cab is not here yet. how come huh? should I wait for anotehr 5 min?"--- the time was recorded as 9.07am. Clearly he CAN'T remember I told him the cab arrival time is between 9.15-9.25am.

2nd sms:"cab is here. see you tonite. hehe.." --- the time was 9.16am.

I was like :.............

How come he is like my dad, never listen to what mom told him one? and he clearly did not hear what I said these few days. Really sai-hei~~~~...(wasting gas).

Phuffff..... Men are really from Mars...

p/s: Cab here is really on-time, one thing that I find is a bonus in this land.

梁雄胜

He is my highschool friend, lived in the same Garden, and we used to ride on the same Bas Sekolah to school last time. The Bas will pick me up first, then go to his house, and he always get on the bus with slow & steady motion, and we usually just 打招呼 with one 眼神. Every morning like that.

I got the shocking news yesterday, that he passed away. Reason was still unknown yet until this morning, my another high school friend told us he went to Sabah snorkeling, and his greatest hobby 摄影 took his life while he left his friends and took picture alone of the under sea beautiful sight.

His body was cremated. And his parents throw his ashes to the Port Klang. I simply cannot imagine his parents pain.

Told my hubby this sad news yesterday. He asked me, "were you close to him?". Very sad, we were never very close even though same Garden, same class, same Bas Sekolah. But, I told my hubby we were highschool mates, and went through lots of ups & downs together, and this piece of "close" is priceless.

The last we get together was highschool 9th year re-union. I remembered he even proposed to come pick me up from the house to go to the venue together, so I can wear high heel shoes without the hassle of driving. He told me about his job that time, and also his new hobby with the camera. I remembered asking him "Got gf or not?". I think his replied that time was a bit "blur", ended up he just simply said, "not met one yet lah", and the conversation with the gf was ended.

I wonder did they pick up his camera that was with him at his last moment of life. The pictures must be full of his beautiful snapshots, even though is of last moment.

Addicted to Sudoku

There are 2 types of people in the world, one is addicted to Sudoku, and the other is about to be. (quoted from the author of a Sudoku book, Pete Sinden, who now lives & works in London)

I am so addicted to Sudoku lately. And it all started with my mom. She is at level 4th now (they called it "migraine" level, the level that gives you headache). We were competing with each other last time when I was in KL, solving the same set and see who has it done faster. First game, she got it so fast. I was so frustrated and I scrambled the paper and throw it onto the floor. Second game, I was the champion, and my mom was not very happy about it, she said, "play one more time". Haha...

I then bought the book from KL (not sure can get from here or not?). It was really fun!

There was one morning, because of this game, I was seriously late for work.

And last night, I dreamt of all the 5's and 7's and 8's in the 9-square boxes.

So, I told myself. No more sudoku game for the next few days.

By the way, I am at "painless" level. There are "tricky" and "nasty" levels before you reach "migraine". Such cute names... Oh I really love playing it:p

“师傅，走高架！”

昨天，遇到一件怪事。

昨晚我们因为工作得晚（可怜的Bui Bui 等了我许久，我最近实在是太忙了！），所以打车回家。

上了车，跟师傅打了招呼要到哪儿去，我们就坐在后面聊天。

突然，他转右。没上到高架！

我就问他，“师傅，我们要去xxx的，你不用高架吗？”

他回答：“现在又不是堵车时间，我们走下面更好。上高架的路，前面有3个红绿灯。我不高兴走呢。”

我和 Bui Bui 对望了一眼，开始打眼色，眼色的大概意思是，“他到底懂不懂？” 但是基于他很肯定地告诉我们他不高兴走高架前面的3个红绿灯，我们也不敢逆他的意思。怕怕。

结果，我们用了30分钟才到家，平时，打车最多用15分钟就到的。我们走高架下面，结果等了6个红绿灯。

在拐进我们家之前的路，他开始说话。我们还以为他会不好意思地跟我们道歉。怎么知道，他竟然说：“你看？省时间吧？走高架还可能被人家碰屁股呢！”

我和 Bui Bui 沉着气，我很想讲他的了 --- “你会不会算术的？你不高兴走3个红绿灯，但你高兴走6个红绿灯？”

而且，他很自豪。我们觉得他真的有一点奇怪。快快付了钱跳下车，我和bui bui 说，下一回我们上了车，一定要立马说：“师傅，走高架！”

Arghhhhhhhhhh pls return my taste bud!!!

I am back for some business trip:) Yah, I wish I have more of this kinda business trip. One month once, I don't mind. haha... anyway..

I just discovered I no longer like my hokkien mee. I was feeling so disasterous about this discovery. This afternoon, I ordered my favorite hokkien mee, and I couldn't finish it!! I hate this kinda feeling. It is like betraying my roots like that. Shit, does it mean my taste bud has totally changed?

I also not getting very excited about nasi lemak, not even the ikan bilis in the nasi lemak.

I don't like pork-meat noodle anymore. Zoo-yuk-meen does not get me excited anymore, not even with the extra egg.

And then, I don't feel like eating the bak-boh (猪肉干） anymore. Not even my favorite 我来也！

I find myself sooooooooo sooooooo soooooooo disgusted when I started missing the 5th floor dim-sum place at my SH office on my 3rd day in KL. YUCKS!!!! SHIT!!!!! ARGHHH!!!!

I think I am sick... I need to find a doctor to fix my taste bud. This is not funny... Not funny at all.

Money Changer

Do you know that "Money Changer" in China does not mean two-way type of money changer, despite the fact that they posted both buy & sell exchange rate on the board? Well, at least this is what I find out from the stupid suck attitude "Money Changer" in the Pudong Airport.

I wanted to change some ausie dollar, so since I was in Pudong Airport, I went to the counter, told him I want to buy 1000 ausie dollar. The guy, replied in the most disgusted tone of voice, "不换的！".

I was very pissed, but I hold my anger. I wanted to tell him, "fuck you, you 不换，why you posted both buy and sell on the board?"

For some reason, I felt I was bullied, and I was holding my tear back.

I called my hubby right after that, complaining to him, if it is not because of him working in SH, I will leave this lousy place without regret and without tear IMMEDIATELY!

I don't understand why they so stupid, if the exchange is really just one way, can you don't use "money changer"? The last I was told, money changer involves both buy & sell meaning. You idiot bastard!!!

I so wanted to call the complaint toll-free number to report that idiot attitude.

I realized I was more pissed by his attitude and not by the fact that I could not buy the ausie dollar from the airport for dunno what stupid reason (am not interested to find out!).

This land is so good to produce sucker!

A day without "cell"

Have you experienced your soul is out of your body?

I felt it whenever I forgot to bring my cell with me to work.

The feeling is like, "would I miss some important calls?"

And best part is, if you are meeting your friends for lunch or dinner, and you told her to wait for you at some BIG compoud, e.g. KLCC front door, and after that conversation, you left the house, half way driving there, you realized you forgot your handphone.

So, you waited at KLCC front door patiently. Best part again, it was raining heavily, and your friend was not here yet at the agreed time, and you forgot to tell her which KLCC front door!

I was watching the new "上海滩" series lately, the one starred by the lengchai 黄晓明. (when he acted for 神雕侠女, he was so fat. I didn't know he can be so yao-ying in 上海滩). There was one scene, when the heng-dai wanted to find a way to tell 丁力 (he was at another site) that the 金大中 has kidnapped his mom, it appeared to me that if there was cellphone invented during that time, it will save his heng-dai great amount of effort to tell him this news. Cellphone is so important.

And today, I forgot to bring cellphone to work again. Arghh... reached office, first thing I did was email those important persons of mine to tell them I forgot my handphone and please call my office number if they need to reach me. And.. I am meeting my fren for lunch. It made me think back the KLCC incident. Oh Gosh....

Cellphone has made us become so dependant.

a stupid bimboo

Miss Zoo is someone I hated most in the company, besides my assistant and Mr. JZ.

Why I hated Miss Zoo? Because I find that she is very fake, and her boh is also very fakingly big and she likes to wear low-cut clothes to out-shine it. OK.. let's not get too personal, I hate her mainly is because of her 不可一世 attitude, like she is very good, other people are all her slave. And she always so fakingly good to my boss, like want to lesbian with her like that, yucks. I hate her to the bone.

Today, my bad luck day, I same lift with her (i was going down to meet my hubby for lunch).
Miss Zoo:"wah.. lunch time eat with him, dinner time eat with him, so sweet."
me:"no lah, not everyday like that."
Miss Zoo:"btw, for next week training in KL, how do we go to the office from hotel?"
me:"(wah lau, taxi lah... u think what? I should fetch u is it??) -- taxi lah!"
my boss :"yah! taxi!"
Miss Zoo:"what's the office address?"
As if she does not know we have intranet?? I was looking at my boss to see what's her reaction.
my boss:"go download from intranet. it's all there.."
Miss Zoo:"is it safe to take taxi from hotel?"
As if scared people will rape her... i was going to answer "it is safe provided you don't wear low cut shirt and expose your boobs on the street." but I refrained myself saying it out.

First of all, she expects me to give her the KL office address where it is already in intranet. Secondly, she expects I go fetch her from hotel (please................). Does the words, "I am an idiot" chopped on my forehead today?

And, she always think KL is a lousier place than Shanghai. Like she will still take taxi from KLIA to Le Meridian hotel when the HR already instructed her to take the KL Express Railway, fast and cheap. No, she has to take bloody taxi, slow and expensive. She must be thinking the KL Express is just like the subway here. Stupid woman.

She is such a bimboo. I really hate her.

Just when I was about to pack all the heavy clothes into a box (I thought winter is over) after 2 days of 20 degree celcius, yesterday, was "big wind big rain"(大风大雨） and temperature today is near zero (was freezing out there~~~~). Sigh... besides feeling dulan about winter is still here, I am more upset that our dear Mr. Earth is really sick. Look, he is behaving weird lately (there was few days, morning 2 degree, afternoon 20+ degree, and at night was 5 degree), and this year winter is considered the warmest in the past dunno many years. All the vege is over-supplied.

Mr. Earth.. u hang on first ok, don't "sneeze" badly... I got many things unsettled yet - like having baby, firing my assistant, and pushing some cheena lang along my walking pathway (so that they don't push me later, I push them first. muahaha), etc... Until I finished doing all these, you don't "sneeze" yet please..... PLEASE!!

Having said that, I was very happy lately. I am going back to KL for work-purpose for a week, yes, KL again!!! hohohoho... I can hug my dear mama again!! I miss her so much... of course, my big belly dad, hahaha...:) Best of all, i can do more shopping at MidValley. I love midvalley... I thinking, if I am financially more "free", then I want to buy the new condo next to it, so I can morning shop, afternoon shop, at night shop. My second dream. (Have I told you guys my first dream is to stuff my bolster with all 100 USD notes and hug it to sleep every night?? My hubby said I very 拜金主义. haha.. anyway..).

I missed out butter crab last 2 weeks in KL. I am gonna "claim" it this time!! and Klang bakuteh!!!

Talking about eating, in my this trip, I find many of the food that I once thought was the best in heaven, was not the same anymore. The zhu-yuk-fen behind the HLA, no longer tastes good. I was so disappointed :( And for the best dim-sum place I used to think, is no longer the best too (i was murmuring that the Shanghai dim sum tastes better than it). I was so sad. And.. last time I thought wun-tun mee of that stall sucks, last 2 weeks I went back, tried it, it was the best!

My fren reasoned it to me that my taste buds has changed to SH-nese style. I pui pui pui to her.

Thank God I still like Hokkien Mee.

Talking about mee, this time I want to eat Shung-Har Mee!!!! hohohoho...

Pressure Cooker

I have decided to purchase a pressure cooker!:)

Last night saw a TV Home Shopping channel, it was advertising this pressure cooker, can cook green pea soup in 5 minutes!! and steam fish, chicken soup, 腊肉饭！oh...

I can't wait for this "toy" to reach my door. Bui Bui is gonna love my cooking even more:)

By the way, 春天已到！冬天终于过去了。好心情：）

Work Cultural Shock

This morning, I frantically handling with hundreds of things and phone calls trying to solve 10 things in 1 hour.

My assistant sent me an email, ask me check on a work (which should be done before CNY).

So, in the midst of my pengsan-mood, I look through the work.

Immediately I spotted typo error! Instead of 再加，she put 在家 and thus the sentence, if you read it, is damn funny.

I asked her, "xxx, 你以后可不可以先看过广告公司那边发过来的东西，去掉错误，才发给我？我很忙，真的没时间看两次。”

Miss xxx: “领导，你也知道，自己的错误，自己很难看出来的。”

I was holding my temper.......... totally speechless.

This is not the first time she did this kinda stupid mistake. Always just click the "forward" button and send the email from the agency to me without herself even gone through it first!!

I wish I can fire her... arrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......

Am I too demanding??

红包

昨天，老板给了我一个开工利是。我只是略谢了一下。回家拆开一看，没有想到他今年这么慷慨。。。大概是麻将赢了很多钱？哈哈。其实有红包我已经很appreciate了。只是没有想到是个大的。（以前我的那些老板都是意思意思给的。）

老公昨晚叫人送水来。我也给了那个人一个红包。他很高兴很高兴。我给红包这么多次（今年啦），他的表情是最真诚的，最开心的。有一些小孩（KL的)，表情十分假，连谢谢也要父母叫才要死要活地讲一句。更不用说跟你拜年或说吉利的话。这么不甘愿，明年不给你们！哈哈~~~

又，很久没看见水果佬了。估计他又去卖香肠了。我还打算过年封他一个大红包呢。快快出现吧~老是要俺去家乐福买不新鲜的水果，讨厌。

I am back

I am back... sob sob...

Every time I changed back the SH sim card to my phone upon returning to SH, I feel very very sad... the feeling is undescridable.

Got some encounters on the flight back from KL to SH.

20 minutes before the departing time, the flight is still not full. So I was talking to bui bui, "many people still on vacation. Sob Sob.. I jealous..".

5 minutes after I said that, whole bunch of SH-nese came onboard. MY GOODNESS, they were so loud and speaking in sh-nese language. One woman was standing talking to anotehr passenger & blocking the path-way until the flight attendant kindly asked her to sit down coz the flight is taking off.

As soon as I heard them talking loudly in SH-nese, I was complaining to my hubby, "I thought I have at least another 5 hours of civilization time!"

They were so noisy I tell u...

Anyway, dunno is it because of waiting for them to get onboard, the flight was being grounded at the runway for another 30 minutes (thanks to them.....). But that was OK, coz we don't mind "staying" on KL land for another 30 minutes. Haha~~

When duty-free item selling time is up, they got so many questions, "how much is this?" "ringgit or renminbi?" "can I pay renminbi? no more ringgit", "does it worth that much? oh how about this perfume? how much?" "How much is that make-up pouch?" "ringgit or renminbi?".... I was sitting 2 rows behind them and waiting for the flight attendant to come by selling me the duty free item and these people asked so many questions. I swear the flight attendant spent like 20 minutes entertaining their question (since when MAS flight attendant is so patience??). Anyway, the above conversation is of course in mandarin.

At the end, they only buy 2 items. Pay renminbi.

They must not been shopping very frequently at local departmental store in SH, coz, if they have done that, they will know the duty-free items in MAS is very cheap. And the answers to questions they asked about how much are all printed on Temptation magazine in front of them, why asked so many questions? If they can try the perfume, i tell u, they will spend like 2 hours figuring what to buy. Aiyoh~~~~~~~~~~~~

20 minutes before the flight was touching down, flight attendant came to collect the ear set from all passengers. Guess what? They refused to return the ear set to them, reason is, "we got it so late, we want extra time wearing them. We will return it the last."

I read various articles about the xizang trip, must be in good health. I just wish my body can listen to me and be a good girl.

The last 'mountain' area that I been to was Kunming, and I had terrible 高原反应, I feel so ashamed of my poor health.

After CNY, I plan to go to gym again to train my body to tip-top condition for the xizang trip. Would I be successful? (that depends whether bui bui goes to gym together with me or not. hahahaha)

Everyday is a V-day!

Bui Bui bought me a Swarovski round crystal pendant from his last U.S. business trip. He said the simple round shape crystal suits me who does not like fancy stuff and 'love' shape stuff that looks very lao-tu. hahaha... he really reads my mind perfectly well:)

I have been keeping this pendant in the drawer for almost a month liao. Today, I proudly took it out and wear it! Purposely wear a lower cut shirt (it is still winter time here... cold cold..) just to make this pendant out-standing. hahahaa...

Bui Bui, I love you!!!:) And you are right, everyday is a Valentine's Day for us:)

CNY~~~

Just realized I posted 2 complaint posts. So, I should start posting some happy ones, if not, some people might actually think I am only good at complaint, and don't know how to enjoy life. Muahahhaa...

few more days, I will be back to KL celebrating CNY. YES!!!

then few days ago, I just realized I do not have any new clothes for CNY, a yearly tradition that I must have. I used to have at least 3-5 new dresses just cater for CNY purpose. And new shoes of course. hahaa...

But how to buy summer wear clothes in a winter city?

I have 2 pair of new shoes that I bought at the end of spring, so i still can bring back and wear as new shoes.. but how about new clothings? I only have few new t-shirts, but CNY supposed to wear nice dress, not T-shirt!

OK.. ok.. this is small matter... the important thing is, I get to lay my mouth on nasi lemak and hokkien mee by this weekend... hoohohohohoh...

I had better not get sick (last year I went back, ate too much, then lou-sai and have to stop eating for 2 days, wasted~~~).

urgghh

I really don't like some people who tries to act cute or funny with me when I am damn serious with them. There is this local media company, always try to act cute with me. And, she always repeat what I said, but made it sound like it was her idea, and I should agree with her (yah... agree to my own words, isn't that sound funny??).

So, just now I gave it back to her gou li gou li.

She :"bla bla bla...."
me: "I want the logo to be top left, and chinese words to be on the right side."
she: "bla bla bla.. yah, why don't we put the logo at the left, and chinese words on the right? don't u think that is better?"
me: "(fire is already on my head...) yes, which is what I said to you just now. Can't you hear me??"
she: "oh.. bla bla bla. I just think that you should agree that logo on the left looks better."
me:" (almost lost my mind dealing with a psycho) Lady, that's what I said just now!! It's my idea!! don't make it sound like it is your new idea and try to educate me!!!" (in fact, I already lost my patient at that time).

I slammed down the phone at her after that.

I cannot, I repeat, I cannot deal with stupid local lady that tries to act cute and funny with me! urghhhh... what has got into her?? did she just left her brain, or ears at home today???

Weird Dream

I was having trouble posting and commenting on blog because I move my blog account to gmail. Finally got it solved today. Phew.

I wanted to write about a weird dream I had 2 nights ago.

In the dream, I was riding a bike, and was turning into a shop lot lane as usual. Just when I made that turn, I suddenly see a gui lou policeman standing there grinning mockingly, and he signaled me to stop. He said he has to saman me because I was making a turn illegally. I immediately shouting at him (live in c*ina too long, anything not right, shout loud loud first), said, "为什么不可以？！以前都可以的呀！”. I'm not sure why I was speaking chinese to the guilou policeman, but anyway..

He answered, "because since this morning the rule has changed. This lane cannot make left turn, u must go further a bit to turn in.", he wa still smiling mockingly. I hate his face.

I then tried to sweet talk him a bit (malaysian way when kena saman..), asked him can he give me a chance.

He said, "Nope ma'am. I am sorry."

I then angry, "他妈的你娘！有什么了不起！多少钱？我多多都给得起！！”。

I was awaken by alarm clock after that. I cannot tell did he really saman me or not.

I was swearing when I woke up from the dream, coz I don't understand why I dreamt I riding a bike, instead of driving a merz???

Could it be the local culture here made me think that bike is a transportation mode for me? ? OMG..

Anyway, I hope next time if I dream, if it's not a Merz, at least is a Honda that I was driving. So insulting... a poor bike... yucks.

I am so busy!!!!

I was, and I am still so busy even since I posted the Simpson picture... meetings after meetings, ppt after ppt, excel spreadsheets after excep spreadsheets... A&P budgets, etc etc...endless stuff. And I totally have no time to check on blogs nor maintain my own blogs for the past 3 weeks. Scary...

Anyway, I am counting down to go home for CNY. Yippie..:) I want to eat nasi lemak, hokkien mee, ban mee, and endless list of food when I get back. Yes, for sure will gain weight but I don't mind! Muahahhahaa...

And this year I have 3 malaysian frens coming to work in Shanghai. I am very excited to have them around. haha. One of them is already here. Wow.. seems that Shanghai is a place to be nowadays? No longer Singapore? Seems like many people i know will end up in shanghai. Hey, could you be next?:)

Will update more next time. Hope have time to go read your blogs also... ta~~~~ Hope to see some of you in CNY also~~~~ those have kids, remember to get angpao from me, first year giving angpao away, quite excited. hahaahhaa:)

A local credit card company upgraded (on their own initiative) my current normal credit card to GOLD credit card.

I was quite happy to receive it yesterday. Until I saw my name on the credit card, I almost faint.

Instead of my real name, they dunno come up from where, put my name as "Luo Daishi".

I had high respect to this company before, until yesterday this moment.

I mean, how can you simply translate your client name and put on the card???

I called the customer service officer. Told her, where did they get my name as "Luo Daishi". She did not answer clearly. Anyway, i just want her to change the name back to my real name. I asked her to repeat the name to me (who knows ah? later same mistake make twice how ah?), she like don't understand why I asked her to do that. And before I put down the phone, i told her I would be very appreicated if you guys don't simply translate and change my real name. She like don't get my point like that, coz no reaction from her (why these people like wood like that one???).

I am, again, having another cultural shock for the day. Whooo Whoo...

我与水果佬

昨天，老公的叔叔来探访我们（他迟一些会定居上海，已经在中国打滚多年了），突然讲到“中国人很勤劳，我很佩服他们”。我立刻想反驳，因为我立刻想到我办公室的那班懒女人，但是毕竟他是长辈，我就听一听他的下文。

他说：“看？他们冬天多么冷，也会不顾一切的在外头工作-- 炒面、卖水果，意志力很强。”

我听了，也想了很久，他说的其实也很对。我家外面的水果佬，冬天，也是一身薄薄的外套在卖水果。想到这一点，我也觉得，一部分的中国人，还是很刻苦耐劳的。我也很佩服。

说到我家外面的水果佬，也很有趣。我，虽然极其讨厌上海人，但是对中下阶级的人，我又很有同情心。我其实吃水果的速度是远远慢过我买水果的数度，老公时常不解的问我：“家里水果还有，你还买？”，我其实是看到那个水果佬夏天日晒雨淋，冬天寒风习习地在卖水果，很佩服他，也有少少可怜他，所以很多时候水果还没有吃完，又买了。家里时常扔掉烂了的水果。

有一天，我好奇地问他：“你有小孩吗？”他回答说：“有，两个！一男一女，刚上小学呢！”。我立刻更佩服他！！卖水果也能养活一家四口，不厉害吗？

又有一次，好几天都没看到他，以为他生病了。1个星期后，他出现了。我有一点像见着好朋友似的高兴，边选水果边聊天，“你最近到哪去了？”“我老婆嫌我卖水果赚得少。叫我去卖香肠。可是才卖不几天，就被公安取缔，罚了50块。还是卖水果好。”我听了，觉得有一点辛酸，可是也为他的乐天派心情所感动。

其实，他卖的水果种类少之又少，偶尔有香蕉和梨，但绝大多数时候就只有芦柑、苹果、柚子。有一阵子，他连苹果也不卖了，我不满地唠叨着。他解释说因为领近的家乐福的苹果最近更便宜。我心想，你真不知道是笨还是天真。人家回家的路上又怎么会为了省几角钱而钻进家乐福，上几层电梯，挑几个苹果，再排个长龙买单呢？……

上一会我家人来的时候，他刚好有卖橘子。我妹妹很爱吃橘子，在回家的路上，我就想买几个。正想挑的时候，他喝止我，“你妹妹刚买过，回去了！”我一脸的茫然，好不容易回过神来，问他：“你怎么知道我妹妹是谁？”因为我很肯定我没有介绍我妹妹给他认识，他也没有看到过我们一起。他说：“你们说话的口音和语气都一样的。”我这才恍然大悟。他还真有一点小聪明。但是，我又觉得他太老实了。他大可以不告诉我我妹妹来买过，然后任我再买，他赚多一点，不好吗？太老实了。

水果佬，我祝你新年快乐！如果下一会再卖香肠，记得请警察叔叔吃几条，可能他们不会罚你款。

it's a NeW yEAr!!

How did we celebrate?

I had facial on Dec 31st, then, I waited for bui bui to get off work (yes, they working 7 days til Dec 31st, but get Jan 1st til 3rd off. Weird local cn policy) and we went to our favorite restaurant to makan.

After dinner, we walked around the mall, and went home before 12am, coz we wanted to chill ourselves out by sipping beer at home watching count-down. hehehe... I actually feel quite excited to count-down to 2007. We were so glad that we are with each otehr during this special moment.

The next day, we decided to sleep til we 自然醒, ahahaha... then we went to have foot massage, and body massage. Then we went to a Thai restaurant to drown ourselves with great food. We had curry crab, teh-tarik (but not as nice as in KL), roti canai with banana, and some other dishes. The curry crab tastes so good I tell u. Nope, it is the normal crab, not the hairy crab. kekeke... it is quite pricey, but worth it, coz it really tastes very very good. But then, I wasted. Coz i went home and lao sai. The crab can't even stay inside my stomach for over-night. I felt a bit sad when looking at my lao-sai product before flushing it.. sob sob..

anyway, just wish everything will turn out great in 2007. And I can't believe I have lived here for 1 year already. A-Lee-Loo-Ya....

anniversary + christmas

last weekend, was a double-event weekend for us: our first anniversary and christmas celebration:)

Bui bui brought me to an expensive Italian restaurant, at the Portman Ritz Calton Hotel, well, food is ok (for me, vege soup is vege soup, sea bass fish is just sea bass fish, i can't tell the difference between a 30 dollar meal and a 500 dollar meal basically). But I was very happy that bui bui make me into a princess for a day at this restaurant (u see, i can't even remmeber the name of that restaurant). Hehe... we get a free dessert from the manager because bui bui told him the dishes are very delicious. hahaha... that italian manager is cute:) Speaking of dessert, I think the dessert tastes better than the main course neh..

I just feel very blessed to spend such a memorable day with bui bui:) I love you bui bui!!!

(I am wearing the gift now;) kekekeke... the picture doesn't turn out nicely, so... use your imagination lah, it is a 琥珀戒指, a 琥珀 is something from natural stuff, usually is yellow color, and inside the rock got other natural stuff.. er.. supposed to chase away bad things, and bring good wealth and good health and happiness to you. Anyway, in cn, anything is supposed to bring u good wealth and health, so, everything also very expensive.）

Merry Christmas guys & girls! I will not be blogging too til 26th. For some reason, our company decided to give us a day off on christmas this year. But still, it doesn't mean anything to me, bui bui still have to work on 25th.

我有一个同事，晚上有上一个英语课程的，老师是美国人。她今天跟我们在午餐的时候分享了她的一些个人看法。以下是她的看法：

1）我的老师跟我们讨论lazy worker的看法。他说有两种懒惰的员工：一、一律想推卸责任的懒惰 （懂怎么做但是不愿意做）。二、“笨”的懒惰（因为不懂怎么做，而懒惰不做）。我当时立刻就纠正我的老师，我告诉他：“还有一种懒惰，是“聪明的懒惰”（在短时间内做完分内的事，然后撒手不理分外的事。”我还很得意地跟老师讲，这种懒惰应该多多提倡。

2）老师每一课堂都会叫我们一些单字。但是有一些单字我坚决不学也不记，我觉得我根本不会用着一些单词的。而且，那一些很难的单词，可以用一些简单的单词代替，为什么还要学难的单词呢？

3）有一次我们的讨论话题在球鞋的品牌上。我跟老师说，尼克（Nike）其实在质量上根本是比不上我们的国产的牌子（林祥）(actually, i forgot what the fuck is the local brand name she said..)老师听了不很高兴。

4）又有一次，谈到车子，我跟老师说，其实日本的牌子是不实用的。只是外形好看。我最喜欢德国产的东西。可靠。

there are few more comments she made. To me, I don't agree to any of her statment. and I think she has an 阿Q精神. very surprised at this modern era, still got such "simple-minded" person, that lives in her own world.

Besides 不可理喻，it is also 不可思议。

不可理喻的上海人！！！！！

实在是忍无可忍。

又是一幕地铁站的“丑景”。

今天的地铁特别挤，到站了，勉强挤到门前，要下车，却被一对狗男女挡住去路。挤也挤不过去，我就叫她让一让。这个女人，穿得很时尚的，一身的纯白色毛毛外套。可是没有想到，她却回答：“你自己挤呀，难不成要我让你？”说完还一脸的臭嘴脸！她和他的狗男友，真的把门都堵住了，请问门开了，你是不是应该退出门外（就一步，甚至是半步，而且门外没有什么人，你根本不会因为让出一步而又上不了车。），让乘客可以先下车？我真得很不明白这些上海人，为什么都这么另人讨厌？？都这么没文化素质？为什么身穿华丽的衣服，内心的素质却发臭恶心？？为什么？？为什么？？？为什么？？？？？？？！！！！！

我把她狠狠地推开（是她叫我这样做的），然后狠狠地丢下一句，“你真没有素质文化”。我不知道她听了后有什么反应。不过，如果她还有一点素质的话，她应该觉得惭愧。

我很后悔为什么没有把她那一身的白毛毛的外套抓破。她真的不配这一身的装扮。

我气得身体不由自主地抖嗦着。这一班上海人，去死吧！真丢人！

sense of distance?

I really don't understand why the chinese here do not have a sense of distance (距离感). My another KL fren once commented, "these bastard, if they can kiss you, they would have. Totally no sense of distance."

Whether it is in the lift, on the street, subway, bank, airport... even though in front of them got lots more space, they just like to stick to you, this 贴身 feeling, are they enjoying?

Sometimes I just feel like telling them off, "can you just move a bit? in front of you got so much space u idiot!"

Of course I dare not. You know shanghainese, they very good at arguing, at high pitch tone some more, whether they are right or wrong, they scream first.

Despite all the shits that R.E.Y project has given me, I was recognized for a monthly award within the company for the efforts :>

Hahaha... before even getting the monetary award from the company, I have already spent it on shopping last weekend. The shopping bugs within me had all exploded in last weekend... wholly shit. But I kept telling myself "it is ok dear, buy more lah, you don't have many winter clothings anyway." But the fact is, my clothes have filled the wardrobe to the max liao. I need to sweet talk to my honey to let me hang a few pieces in his wardrobe:P

突然想起昨天有一件事情我想记载的。

昨天午饭时间，我们几个女生（应该是女人才对，不过，女人sounds so old..)刚好都有带饭，就一齐用微波炉热了来吃。

一位刚来的同事，我叫她做J吧。

J：“你晚上自己做饭吗？”
我：“是的。”
J：“没有请阿姨？”
我：“有的，不过只是负责打扫卫生。”
J：“噢，那你很辛苦哦，回到家还要做饭。”
我：“不会啊，我做饭很快的，一小时就好了。”
J：“那肯定很累的。”
我：“。。。”
J：“每一天都做吗？”
我：“不是，一星期也有个3、4天。”
J：“那还是很辛苦的。”
我：“。。。”（心里面：diao你啊？我辛不辛苦是我说了算，还是你说了算？？）

我不明白为什么她这么顽固，我都说我一点都不觉得累，她还操心什么？还老觉得我可怜？我也不明白为什么有一些女人会认为做饭给老公吃是一件很累人的事。我真的觉得那是一件很神圣的事，关键在于我很乐意做，也认为当我老公吃得津津有味的时候，那一种快乐和成就是旁人不能理解的。那才是幸福。而且是双份的幸福（老公觉得幸福，我也觉得幸福）。

To： 我办公室的女人，我也很可怜你们的老公，老是吃外面的食物。我也更可怜你们的婆婆（我们俗称的家婆），因为你们的媳妇从来不做饭，还餐餐吃你们的。

Tonight I can sleep more soundly.

The stupid R.E.Y. project is launched. I am so glad.

Lots of argument in the process, lots of quarreling, lots of 'u stupid mouth, shut the fug up' thinking, lots of weird dream at night because thinking too much, lots of O.T. because their stupid store is so far away from the city, etc...

But, when I now think back, I do learn a lot from this project, especially on store design parts.

And I learn some good business sense from my CM, he is good.

And I finally know about what does it mean by "进退两难”situation in business. Tough.

OK lah, what I care is, I can have a good sleep tonite. Screw you R.E.Y., you fucking tiu company.

fcking winter

Winter is here, and I fall sick again (i fell sick in last winter too).

Fever is on & off for few days already. And here no Klinik Muthu, I damn pissed. No western antibiotic to take. And if u very free, u can always go to hospital to let them drip antibiotic right into your blood. 点滴. very annoying.

I hate winter. My next happy day is CNY, can return home for a week mah.. looking forward to that.

I don't remember I hate winter back when I was studying in Canada. Why huh? If the place jin, the weather also jin one is it? JIN GAK!!

I think my P is coming. Totally up to the mood of scolding people now. fucking irritating.

I did something very stupid just now.

Was sending through a name list that we going to attend some opening function, luckily cc my boss.

He came to me after 5 min I sent through:" you mispelled our GM name.. both last name and first name."

I was like shit, 死咯，我不想活了, quickly correct the email, and this time, in order for my eyes to proof read correctly the spelling of the GM name, I put his name on the TO LIST, easier to check mah.

Then I forgot to delete his name from TO list, and the email was sent through!!!

I quickly recall the message, but did not get any notification that message is retrieved successfully.

So shit.Die lah this time.

So, at first the GM won't know I can't spell his name properly, but I have to be so stupid to send the email to him to let him know about this.

If your staff can't spell your name correctly, would you be mad? I WILL BE MAD!!!

I am gonna update my resume soon... 不想活了。

"This is so funny"

Bui Bui was having the company paid for yearly medical check up yesterday morning. So, when I met him at night after work, I was casually asking him how was it.

Bui bui: “it was OK. Except that when I reached the hospital, I heard my Japanese colleague Ogi was screaming.”

Me: “huh? Why??”

Bui bui: “Apparently, they were doing his 肛门检查 without getting his consent, actually more like they asked him in mandarin, but he did not shake head nor said ‘no’ nor asked further.”

I just couldn’t stop laughing. I did my medical check up 2 months ago, so I advise my bui bui the night before that if he does not want to do 肛门检查, he can tell the nurse, coz it is a bit painful to do it. If your 排便 is normal, u can opt to skip that one (a kind nurse told me this last time, so I skipped mine too).

Then the next thing my bui bui told me, is even funnier.

Bui bui: “after I heard him scream, I figured out must be the肛门检查, so I quickly run to tell the nurse me ain’t gonna do that checking, the nurse said OK.”

(You see, my bui bui must have forgotten what I told him a night earlier about this 肛门检查 thing before he heard Ogi scream. As usual lah, he always can’t remember what I told him, especially at night… sigh)

Bui bui continued, “then my another Japanese colleague Hiroshi heard the scream also said he does not want to do that, so I told the nurse Hiroshi does not need that checking as well.”

Me, still laughing, thought this whole joke was gonna end. But no.., my hubby continued…

Bui Bui : “then the nurse, forgotten I told them Hiroshi does not want that checking, the doc still stick his middle finger into his butt. He screamed. And he told us about this during the breakfast after we finished medical check up. He said, ‘it was damn painful, at first the doctor told me to squat then he told me to take off my pants, and my underwear, and then the doctor sticked his middle finger into my butt!!!’ Hiroshi thought bui bui has helped him explained to nurse already, so he 不疑有他 even when doctor asked him to take off his pants.

Now at that point, I really couldn't hold my laughter. I laughed and laughed and laughed, until reach the subway station I still laughing.

Bui bui conclusion is, perhaps the doctor knew they were Japanese, that’s why take this opportunity to give them a lesson. Hahahaha... so evil lah the doc.

The funniest thing is, when bui bui told me all about this, he did not laugh at all. He just commented “this is so funny”.

Pimples

Because of my busy schedule lately, I have no time to visit my facial center.

As a result, i have pimples~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

How ah? How ah? How ah? If lazy go facial for more than a month, the mr. pimples must popp out one is it? Is it Is it Is it??? Is this universal law? :`(

Sigh.. i had better go for a facial next week (this week is not possible again).

蚕丝被

Have I told you girls I bought a 蚕丝被？

Last night, we decided to use it (well.. since we are changing blanket-sheet also).

Bui Bui, while changing the sheet, he mumbling, "so expensive.. dunno worth it or not. Looks so thin, really can keep us warm ma?"

Surprisingly, the 蚕丝被 really keeps the heat and keep us warm!

I love it:) It is my new "pet" of the month.
