yes you did the right thing. that is called 'Cut Loss'. many people after they made a paper loss in their stocks, keep holding to it and did not want to realise the loss (舍不得).as a result, the share price keep falling and falling...
and guess what, Warren Buffet is not always right ...some tech stocks are still a good buy, google, apple, and coming up fb maybe? the important thing is to look at various fundamental aspects
Apple is definitely over price but still keep on climbing. Now as we speak, every stock on my watch list is dropping as the Greece talk is at stall, only Apple stock is still rising and at green. So expensive, dont know how to buy liao. And then this Facebook, estiamted price after IPO is close to $120.... wah..... toooo expensive lah~~~~
I did regret not buying Microsoft when it is around 27-28 though... SOB~~~~
Eric, what stock you holding now? faster email me share with me.
oh, btw, it is 'me':p hehehe...
Hi Anonymous!
i did not buy US stocks, too far away to monitor, though I have crossborder account. i mainly trade local stocks, some dividend stocks like Maxis, PChem, SunReit etc. Commodity and food stocks are good buy in long term, because moving forward we will be facing serious scarcity of food. I also bought momentum stocks like Maybulk, QL, Notion etc. but I sold alot last year when the crisis hit in Aug...now just wait and see first
i am limpeh, not Eric. your name? dun tell me is Linbu @#$%^&*
dun buy fb first, the IPO price is too over-priced and their earning does not reflect that ! their online ad revenue is only 5% compared to google 35% ...big gap
Hope you cut fast enough to have just a small loss.
