Jay and I watched a DVD last night, "Original Sin", by Angelina Jolie and Antonio Andaras.
"This is not a love story, but it is a story about love".
This is the begining phrase of the movie, and also the most meaningful phrase in the whole movie. Yes, this movie is indeed about a story about love, but not a love story, coz there are people dying in the story, some 叫妓 scene, and also not very comfortable scene (when they were caught cheating on the card game, Angelina actually sacrificed a lot, sigh). So, it is definitely not a romantic love story, but it is really a story about love.
THe fact that Antonio Andaras in the movie is willing to drink up the poisonous coffee even though he knows it is poisonous touched me so much~~, at the end, I paid a price too, I can't sleep after we finished watching the show at 12.30am. Kept on thinking how great is love...
Sigh... Love is great, love is painful, love is about sacrifice, and love is sometimes "cheating" too.. haha..
Oh by the way, I don't find Angelina Jolie pretty anymore.. she looked a bit chan in the movie.. not as great as Tomb Raider time.
But her body is still great!! Got a bit of nude scene in the movie ;)
Great movie pals... worth a watch. It is not about love story. It is a story about Love!
