I am going for company outing at some ulu place starting tomorrow afternoon til Friday night. Meaning, stay over night at a ulu hotel, at that ulu place.



I have been feeling so sun-fu about this trip.

I just hope it is like taking an injection - fast come, fast pain, and fast over.

:( I don't understand why boss force EVERY ONE to go. Can someone please tell him not everyone like to spend time do simi team building with colleagues??

My uni best friend is here over the weekend, we went to eat hotpot.

And.... we saw this translation:

It was really word-by-word direct translation.

Jaws dropped. My uni best fren exclaimed, "gum gai siu geh??!!" He is a Hong Kong-nese.

After dinner, went to The Bund walk walk. Cannot remember this is the how many times I have been walking at The Bund, accompanying visitor. Frankly speaking, I don't like to walk there very much, coz it is crowded, rainy or not rainy days, CROWDED. And, very smelly. I think some of the beggers there pee on the walkway. Yucks. Anyway, I love to take pictures whenever I come to the Bund. Even though I don't like the place, I do think that Tower looks very magnificent at night... very romantic.

I want to sue cheap-plak smokers!

90% of male in this cheap-plak land smokes.

That leaves the rest of us, heavy second-hand smoker.

Can I sue them for murdering us the non-smokers?

I really beh tahan when those ugly cheena men walk and smoke in front of me. I once said before, it's as bad as those bin-tai-guy that pull down his pants and show you his kkj, it is that irritating.

Sometimes I really wonder, why they like smoking that much?

Read about Zewt's entry, about how inefficient of our system is back home. Makes me wonder... which place I would like to stay as citizen, IF given a choice of:

A) A land that is famous for inefficient system, lousy government system (ranging from education that send stupid kids to overseas and leave intelligent ones at local U but without the first choice degree they wanted sometimes even though they can be ALL-A's students, after-death-money-goes-which-pocket, kissing-scene-cut in cinema until u dunno what's going on with the real story, income-tax that says will debit the money back to us if we pay more but I haven't received the cheque yet until now and dunno if they have accessed my file or not??? etc, etc, etc, etc, etc... BUT you have your great friends who grow up together with you, and all the great great great food on earth that you cannot get elsewhere.

B) A land that is full of cigarette-air-pollution, people's fresh spit on the road, people talking so loudly you thought they were arguing but they just merely in the "apa khabar" mode, lousy system every where including no line up at ANY where, quality control leakage in MOST of the thing u can think of including fake oranges or fake eggs or fake electronic model that can have Samsung name in taobao but when u get it is actually papa brand stuff and Taobao got the guts say they cannot do anything and consumer should be verifying the stuff before doing the transaction, no quality of service EVERY where coz there's no tips system, no l eng-chai everywhere coz they look very yong-sui without proper daily bath, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc BUT you get good job & good pay here.

C) A land that has great quality of life, great mountain, great air, great shopping road, great clean road with spit-free environment, great restaurant with NON-smoking area, great bridge, great park, great transportation system, great car price, BUT, this land is with limited working opportunity.

I am having this A-B-C thoughts a lot lately... SIGH... nothing is perfect. But some lands are just way toooo far from perfect eh?

I saw this phone, s500i, at Hong Kong International Airport on Oct 1st. I fell in love.



I thought I have a "puppy love", those love that easy come, easy go. So, I decided to not buy it yet. (I also saw a Bally sling bag in HK airport. I thought I want it and I was going to get it on the way back from vancouver, stopping by at HK also. But, the desire was not there anymore when I come back to the airport)

Today is Nov 15th. I cannot tell you how many times this s500i creeps into my mind lately. It's so sexy... so so so sexy.. and the name, is like its chinese name, it's asking love from me!

Then I realized there's some changes of my attitude to my current Nokia phone.

I easily lose temper at it when it went out of battery.. I even hiam it's screen color is no longer nice. I find fault at its lousy ring tone, and I think it's getting heavy for me, in this era. I have him since May 2005. That time, I think he was cool, leng chai, handsome, yao-yeng, got attitude, and I seriously in love with him that time.

So I was thinking -- is this how those men who are having affair thinks? They saw hot chicks in the airport, went home kept thinking about her, can't help but to fantasize having the hot chicks serve them (ah-hemm..) and then, they start thinking the fat bitch who was sleeping beside them becoming unattractive, silly, fat, yellow face, irrational... etc. Is that how they feel?

That's scary.. I must ask this question to bui bui tonight (poor bui bui, always kena from me whenever I have "creepy" thoughts).

So, how? The only solution is to give them no chance look at hot chick is it? But when I checked out the s500i at the airport, I was having this thinking "aiyah, one look only, won't die one. I won't buy ge lah... my own one is still in good function!" But I was wrong, u just need one look to have the "affair" feeling.

Having said all that... I think I still want to change my phone to s500i!! Yay!!! hohohoh... hey, it's body color was sexy green. I love it!

I am a text person

I realized I am a text person.

I love to use text to communicate with people. Email and SMS are my favorites.

My assistant is seating one cubicle in front of me, but I prefer use email to talk to her.

Reason? I hate to raise my voice and talk. I find it rude to raise my voice for a conversation.

Then, I realized most people are not a text person.

I have a good friend, his sms, is always less than 3 words. Either is "OK", "Call me!" or "Call me again!" Always short and crisp.

Then I have another friend, she doesn't like to reply email. Got update or no update, also no reply email one. So you won't know if she has helped you done that thing or not? And then because gun-cheong about the status, u have to call her. And worst, out of 5 calls, 3 calls go into voice mail one. And make u look like a physcho like trying to hunt her down. Why? Because u just want to find out what's the status of the matter only, only if she can just reply an email informing u of the status leh.

Then I have some other friend, you sms her asked her 3 questions, she will answer "OK." Don't know she OK with which questions?

I even have friend who refused to give me his handphone number, coz he said, SMS cost money. Better just email. :

Luckily bui bui, my sister, my mom have trained by me successfully to become a text person. If not, I will go crazy... Oh, my dad and my brother are not text person. They belongs to the group "reply short short" or "no reply".

Friends ah friends... can type more than 3 words on SMS next time or not? Nowadays mobile phone so convenient, I really think SMS can achieve more things efficiently, especially connection between overseas. Email need to check only popped out, but SMS, once received will beep beep you. So good. Why no use?

p/s: luckily my good fren here purple mushroom also a heavy text person. Hahaha... Sometimes in the weekend, we can "beep beep" here and "beep beep" there half afternoon, until hubby questioned me "why don't u two just picked up the phone and talk??". Hehehe...

蒸鱼记

周末，一个人逛超市（老公出差还没有回来），买了一条鲳鱼，想着周一晚上清蒸来吃。那条鱼，27元！这也是我第一次在超市买鱼。回到家才想起那人没有跟我去内脏，郁闷。我就一刀砍掉鱼的头，却忘了所谓内脏，是鳃、和其他的深红色东东。砍掉头，那些东西还在鱼身里面。郁闷！搞了很久才弄掉，放进冰格，周一晚上才来“调戏”它。

昨天（周一），怀着期待的心情，回到家蒸鱼，放了很多姜，切到我手酸，又放了一点番茄、冬菇、麻油、酱油、盐。总之，该放的东西一个也没有少。鱼蒸出来还是有腥味，也不够咸，肉也老老的。再次发誓以后再也不蒸鱼了！！

鱼啊鱼，为什么我跟你没有缘分？！

Last 2 days..

I was terribly sick last 2 days.

Tuesday night, sore-throat. Then I know for sure kanasai this time already.

Wednesday morning, fever, head very heavy, and I can't even walk properly. So, took bui bui's advice, stay at home, and call in to office sick. Whole day slept from 9am - 12noon, woke up, cooked a maggie mee, and then sleep again from 1pm-3pm, woke up drink water, then sleep again 3.30pm - 6pm. In between took those sibeh medicine.

At night, still feel horrible. Can't breath properly also because nose block.

Thursday morning, woke up, feel like crying, coz headache, fever, and worst, started coughing. The phlame is yellowish color. Tiu. Bui bui said I need antibiotic, but the stocks we have were finished by bui bui 1 day ago coz he was sick last week too. No choice, have to drag myself, change clothes, and go to hospital. One thing here, no clinic, u sick, u go hospital. If u got money, u pay couple of hundreds for registration, and then no line up, go see doc. If you not rich, you pay 5 bucks, wait 5 hours in the line to see doc.

I paid RMB 300 registration fees, see a doc in less than 5 minutes. She wanted to test my white blood cell. My eyes roll-big big, I tell her just subscribed me some antibiotic, I no need test blood!! I almost swear at her.

Then, she subscribed me pfizer antibiotic, which is fine (the most expensive in the medicine list). Then, the flu medicine, she subscribed me the one which I was eating for 2 days!! same one which I can buy over the counter in pharmacy outside. So I throw it back at her I said I want another brand. She looked at me, said, "flu needs a process. No magic. This brand is good. You have to take it or leave it."

So, I paid RMB446 in total, went home, cannot go to work coz my head was heavy (and doc said I no fever. @#%$! meng meng got fever she said no fever), and sleep. Bui Bui cooked me porridge in the early morning. He is so sweet... he accompanied me go see doc then he fly for business trip again. sigh...

At night, 8.00pm, i still feel headache, without fever. Then I realized I didn't take coffee for 2 days! (i sai also no energy to bang in the past 2 days can u believe it?) So, I took nescafe 3-in-1, can u believe it, my headache was gone within half an hour???

And this morning, I woke up, feeling healthy and energetic. For the first time, I feel so happy and blessed, to be able to get off the bed and go to work!! I reached office 15 minutes earlier than usual, with a big smile on my face.

Feeling Healthy is so hung-fook!!

I hate it when they think they are very big, but in fact they just have 1 store in the whole blardy china.

I hate it when its staff talk to us like we are idiot, but in fact, they are the idiots. They also are the biggest liar on earth. e.g. "I called you many times, cannot get you." "but my phone didn't even ring your number at all." "I don't care, I don't know what's wrong but I did call u and u did not pick up my call!"

I hate it when they everything want exclusive, nice, and yet, they don't even want to share a penny.

I hate it when they see good product, they want to sapu all, but historical sales data tell us they cannot eat all the stocks. eat 1/10 also tak boleh. Eat all can mati!!

A Saturday...

We went to makan at a place called KL Sakura. It was advertised on the daily newspaper, so we took a cab, went there with excited feeling.

Ordered nasi lemak -- and it came, and I couldn't express how disappointed I felt. Where got nasi lemak without the ikan bilis and sambal one???

The teh tarik sucks too. So bitter. and no teh tarik feel. Only got red-tea with some cheaplak milk feeling. tiu...

I swear, I not going to eat there again. I cook also better than what they have there.

Then we went to Pudong bin-jiang-road, to enjoy the sunset... it was quite nice, not really crowded.

And then, guess what? We saw gamblers, just right beside the binjiang-road. They looked like tourists (local ones of course), but I think they are killing time by gambling a bit, next to the nice scenary.

Who will you fire?

2 staff, in the office. One has been talking on personal calls (using office phone of course) for the past 1.5 hours, one has been feeling sleepy so she goes to a famous local job-search site to search for job.

The one talking on the phone, has been talking so loudly, about where to go for vacation.
She:"we go cambodia, so cheap. Can take the group via Hong Kong, even cheaper."

Actually, the job-searching staff also because of being seriously get distracted by her conversation, so she feel dulan, nothing to do and go for job-search online.
